**Job Summary:**
United Staff Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team for ESY and NSY 2024-2025. The School Nurse will provide healthcare services to students, promote health education, and ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
**Duties:**
- Provide direct care to students with acute or chronic health conditions - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assess and manage student injuries or illnesses that occur during school hours - Develop individualized healthcare plans for students with special medical needs
- Conduct health screenings and immunization programs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being - Educate students on health-related topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
**Experience:**
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience in pain management and pediatrics
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices
- Familiarity with Cerner or Epic electronic health records systems
- Previous experience in nursing homes or dementia care is a plus
