Job Title: RN Manager - Med/Surg

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Manager for our Med/Surg department in Kansas City, MO. The RN Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, providing leadership to nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff within the Med/Surg department.
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and promote patient safety.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Conduct regular assessments of staff performance, provide feedback, and support professional development initiatives.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and contribute to financial planning and management for the department.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Missouri.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting, with at least 1-2 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in Med/Surg nursing practices and procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
