Quality Technician

Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

• Maintain database of current and past issues and corrective actions.
• Perform daily support of manufacturing related issues, resolution, and corrective actions.
• Maintain, enhance and measure tracking for in house quality issues and resolutions.
• Understand manufacturing capacity and quality processes of suppliers and validate they are adequate for Midland’s production demands.
• Facilitate new part approval process from suppliers.
• Assist production with standard operating procedure creation and communication.
• Perform receiving inspection of supplied parts as required.
• Perform calibration of small hand tools and other measuring instruments and work with 3rd parties on all high-level calibrations that are required.
• Verify certifications of incoming materials meet specifications.
• Product testing for reliability and compliance.
• Perform garage door wind load testing and reporting for code compliance.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and relationships with factory staff.
• High integrity, strong work ethic, and detail oriented.
• Excellent computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office programs. ERP experience preferred.
• Has a high level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
