Glov Enterprises LLC is a Tier1/Tier 2 automotive supplier for plastic interior and exterior components and assemblies. We currently operate in a 55,000 sqft. building in Tecumseh, Michigan, with 21 injection molding presses ranging from 50 tons to 1500 ton. To support our rapid growth we are looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Quality Engineer position to support the launch of new projects.

Education and Experience

• Degree in a technical field or equivalent field required/preferred.
• ASQC Certified Quality Engineer/Certified Auditor an asset.
• AIAG Core Tool Knowledge (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA).
• Problem Solving Certification required (8D, 5Phase, 7Step, Root Cause Analysis etc.)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 required.
• Lean Manufacturing experience an asset.
• Knowledge and experience In plastic products and process, injection molding an asset.

Responsibilities

• Drive 8D problem solving for all Customer-related quality issues, including tracking, reporting, problem solving issues.
• Support Product Launch and ensure all quality concerns are communicated properly and completely through the organization.
• Complete all APQP-related activities.
• Identify opportunities; forecast resources to achieve quality improvement targets.
• Enforce Customer Specific Requirements and compliance.
• Ensure all customer systems are updated on-time and with complete and thorough documentation as required
• Manage Cost of Poor Quality including Scrap reduction initiatives, customer charges,…..

Physical Demands of the Position

• Normal amount of sitting and standing; Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; Ability to work at a computer workstation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
