Quality Control Inspector 2nd or 3rd shift

Looking for the right person who has the following experience:

9001:2000.
-AP/QP or ASQ certificate a plus.
-Experience using MSOffice
-CMM experience is a plus.

- Math and geometric knowledge

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate ability to Champion and lead major projects including NPD and Continuous Improvement projects, to achieve successful completion and implementation.
  • Responsible for addressing Customer Complaints within a 24 hour acknowledgement period and then provide Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action with documentation and communication to the customer. Perform follow-up audit for changes made to processes.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component (for both new product development and existing products).
  • Devise sampling procedures and Control Plans
  • Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment.
  • Evaluate testing measurement for analysis of equipment and facilities.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements; including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) and Trend Analysis methods for analyzing data to evaluate current process and implement changes when deemed applicable.
  • Document data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Designated contact for communicating customer issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to customer, management and all other applicable levels within the customer organization.
  • Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of internal and external customer activities.
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to team members, management and external customers.
  • Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of SQF, government and industry quality codes and standards
  • Backup to perform SQF Practitioner duties when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Great communication skills
  • Microsoft Office excel and work experience
