Headquartered in Paterson, NJ, Straight and Narrow is the largest program of its kind. We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Quality Assurance and Records

Monday- Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Location: Paterson, New Jersey

Position Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

I. Assist Quality Assurance coordinator in administrative work

  • Assist in Data Collection (compile weekly staff and client activities to monthly data, etc.).
  • Assist in other administrative work as required

II. Record Keeping of Clinical Client Charts

  • Develop new charts for all new admissions
  • Ensure all new admission charts are labeled (computer generated) as per the required format
  • Ensure that all notes submitted by counselors are filed in appropriate client charts.
  • Review client charts for accuracy and completeness once a month
  • Communicate information about missing, inaccurate or incomplete documents to QA Coordinator, counselors and supervisors.
  • Prior to closing clients’ chart ensure receipt of all required documentation (ex: discharge summaries, etc.).
  • Responsible for scanning all client charts, both existing and closed charts.
  • Supervise clients’ assigned to Quality Assurance job site as required
  • Ensure that client charts are ready for Inspections (e.g. DAS, etc.)
  • Report to Quality Assurance Coordinator on all of the above in a timely manner.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Coordinator in conducting chart reviews once every quarter (four times a year) or as required
  • Assist Quality Assurance Coordinator with the storage, retrieval and destruction of all records

Qualifications:

Required associate degree or higher with good working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, Internet applications etc.) Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to partner with staff from other departments to ensure smooth process flow of QA procedures.
