Peak Performers is currently seeking a proficient QA Engineer - Automated to undertake advanced testing and analysis of the Agency's production systems and applications. Key duties will involve developing, validating, executing, and documenting test plans and scripts encompassing unit testing, comparison testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing.

The role includes the responsibility of testing and automating the testing of extensive data within SQL Server databases. Collaboration with Business Analysts, Production Control, Operations, and Development teams is integral throughout the design and execution phases of test plans.

Major duties:
  • Develops detailed test plans for complex computer applications
  • Reviews user requirements and works to resolve discrepancies and clarify processes
  • Writes and edits detailed test cases based on business user requirements and functional specifications
  • Employs automated testing tools to perform functionality testing, including, functional, regression, and system tests to ensure that product is working as expected
  • Employs automated tools to test large amounts (millions of records) of data in the SQL Server database
  • Assists in conducting and coordinating all phases of testing
What are we looking for

  • 7 years’ experience in progressively demanding quality assurance processes and techniques over the full software lifecycle: implementing, upgrading and maintaining
  • 4 years’ experience in using SQL to create queries
  • 4 years’ expert level experience in testing and automating testing of large amounts (millions of records) of data in SQL Server database
  • Proficient in the use of VB Script and/or other languages used in automated testing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience in testing PeopleSoft Pension, Benefits Administration and Financials
  • Experience in testing SharePoint /K2
  • Experience in testing .NET
  • Extensive knowledge of the quality assurance process and techniques over the full software lifecycle
  • Must be proficient in the use of automated functionality testing tools
About this position

  • Rate (DOE) : $41.00 - $58.00 per hour
  • Length of engagement: 5/20/24 through 11/30/2024 with extension options
  • Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM unless otherwise coordinated, 40 hours per week
  • Location: Austin, TX, (Hybrid) Candidates must be local to Texas
