Production Manager – Plastic Injection Molding

About the Job:

• Lead by example. Effectively plan, communicate, manage and support day to day production over three shift operation to drive safe, profitable and sustainable growth.
• Initiate plans and processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of resources.
• Monitor production and uptime. Implement continuous improvement principles to minimize scrap, downtime, and quality issues.
• Develop and implement operating methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
• Effectively lead, mentor, and develop production team including interviewing, hiring, training, performance and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

• Five years management experience in a capital-intensive plastics or rubber manufacturing environment.
• Ability to prioritize and provide strategic direction to a team of cross-functional departments and follow through on expectations.
• Overall understanding of plastics manufacturing methods and machinery.
• Creative problem solver, effective communicator, motivated self-starter, dependable and adaptable.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with ERPs, IQMS a plus.
