This newly established role at Beaverton Foods aims to establish an effective management structure in alignment with our policies and procedures. The Production Manager will oversee all facets of production, including mixing, sanitation, and warehouse operations across both shifts. This role involves coordinating activities with warehouse, mixing, and production teams through designated supervisors and leads.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Production Responsibilities

Develop short-term and long-term schedules for various departments, encompassing Mixing, Production, and Warehouse logistics. This position will work with multiple departments to set up the company’s monthly production schedule.

· Collaborate with the purchase manager to coordinate production runs based on item needs.

· Work with production and maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency of production lines.

· Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations and Vice President on production, scheduling, and inventory reports.

Operational Responsibilities

Manage supervisors to ensure proper work setup, daily tasks, and end-of-day cleanup, collaborating closely with the Director of Operations to achieve daily goals. This can include setting up a structure for supervisors to be held accountable.

· Ensure end-of-day tasks are completed by supervisors, including sanitation department duties, with proper documentation.

· Coordinate the Production department with both shift supervisors, ensuring the schedule is adhered to as planned and monitoring production progress.

· Coordinate the Mixing department with both shift supervisors, verifying adherence to recipes and processes as planned.

Managerial Responsibilities

Tasked with ensuring the department remains proficient in all facets of their roles, providing support to each supervisor in fostering accountability within their teams, and holding both supervisors and their teams accountable for their responsibilities.

· Understands the fundamental responsibilities of each department within the reporting structure.

· Responsible for training new and existing supervisors in their duties.

· Hold departments accountable for processes, procedures, and behavior through documented disciplinary action and constructive feedback.

· Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and quality control guidelines, administering discipline as necessary. collaboration with HR when necessary.

· Schedule and approve vacation requests in accordance with company policy.

· Oversee annual reviews for each supervisor and lead in their respective departments.

· Enforce health and safety precautions, including adherence to food safety (GMP) regulations.

Qualification Requirements and Skills needed.

· Bachelor's degree (B.S.), and up to five years related experience and/or training

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

· Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations within a food facility.

· Familiarity with performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

· Experience in reporting on key production metrics.

· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.

· Exceptional communication skills.

· Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

· Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

· Current driver's license

Other Responsibilities for the future of the position:

· Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

· Propose changes in working conditions and equipment use to enhance work crew efficiency.

· Initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.

· Conduct quarterly counts of finished goods and raw material inventory, preparing necessary documentation.

· Follow Inventory Lot Control procedures for finished goods.

This position is responsible to support all HACCP, Food Safety, Food Fraud, Food Defense programs and regulations by completing all Lot Tracking, Critical Control Point and Sanitation requirements.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Beaverton Foods’ documents and policies are written in English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for long hours at food shows, and taste or smell. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
