Description
The City and County of Broomfield Custodial team is looking for a Full-Time Custodian to assist in coverage and detailed cleaning at the Broomfield Police Department. This position works a swing shift, 3:30pm-12:00am, Sunday- Thursday
This is a 24 hour busy facility that requires attention to detail and customer interaction. This building is unique because everyday is different. The ideal candidate will be able to be flexible and change their routine sometimes on a daily basis to get all needs met.
Total Compensation Package
Salary Range: $18.31 - $24.77/hour

Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties
Performs general maintenance to municipal buildings including cleaning offices, breakrooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and public areas.

Education – None
Experience – None
After one year, Custodian I is eligible to be promoted to Custodian II.
Necessary Special Requirements -
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Applicants must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, skills assessment/physical agility, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry check, driving record check through DMV, and physical screening as set for this position (lifting at a minimum of 50 lbs). This assignment will require fingerprint checks through CBI/FBI.
Working Conditions
The noise level in the environment is moderate.
This position involves varied hours including day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Work is generally performed indoors although such duties as cleaning windows, keeping immediate outside area free of trash and debris, cleaning ashtrays, shoveling snow, and maintaining sidewalks and entryways are performed outdoors so exposure to temperature changes will exist.
Must operate and maintain a variety of equipment and utilize various chemicals. As such the worker may be exposed to a variety of safety hazards such as infectious material and blood borne pathogens.
Performance of custodian duties at the City and County of Broomfield requires a wide range of physical movements including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crouch, crawl, twisting, carrying, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, handling, and feeling.
Physical demands are described as Medium - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
