The City and County of Broomfield Custodial team is looking for a Full-Time Custodian to assist in coverage and detailed cleaning at the Broomfield Police Department. This position works a swing shift, 3:30pm-12:00am, Sunday- Thursday
After one year, Custodian I is eligible to be promoted to Custodian II.
The noise level in the environment is moderate.
This position involves varied hours including day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Work is generally performed indoors although such duties as cleaning windows, keeping immediate outside area free of trash and debris, cleaning ashtrays, shoveling snow, and maintaining sidewalks and entryways are performed outdoors so exposure to temperature changes will exist.
Must operate and maintain a variety of equipment and utilize various chemicals. As such the worker may be exposed to a variety of safety hazards such as infectious material and blood borne pathogens.
Performance of custodian duties at the City and County of Broomfield requires a wide range of physical movements including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crouch, crawl, twisting, carrying, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, handling, and feeling.
Physical demands are described as Medium - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
