Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team. The Personal Trainer/Strength and Conditioning Coach will work closely with our experienced trainer and gain hands-on experience in the fitness industry, focusing on personal training, and overall fitness programming, individual one on one and group exercise classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Training Sessions:
  • Support trainers in conducting individual and group fitness sessions.
  • Learn and apply proper exercise techniques and coaching cues.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Engage with clients to understand their fitness goals and preferences.
  • Assist in creating personalized training programs based on client needs.
  • Apply exercise and training principles to a diverse range of clients from young athletes to an elderly population.
  • Program Development:
  • Collaborate with senior trainers to design and implement appropriate weight loss, fitness and health, nutrition, or sport-specific training programs.
  • Contribute creative ideas for enhancing workout routines.
  • Fitness Assessments:
  • Assist in conducting fitness assessments and evaluations for clients.
  • Track client progress and make adjustments to programs as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist in maintaining client records and tracking attendance.
  • Support in the organization of fitness events or workshops.
  • Learning and Development:
  • Attend internal training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  • Sales and marketing:
  • Develop marketing and sales initiatives for recruiting new clients.
  • Apply social media marketing strategies for informing and educating prospective clients.
  • Phone and email follow up leads and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled or recently completed a college program related to health and fitness, exercise and nutrition, sports science, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Passion for fitness, health, and helping others achieve their goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of exercise principles and techniques, nutrition, human anatomy and physiology, exercise programming.
  • Be competent and mindful to work with youth and seniors
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Strong time management skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, but not required).
  • Must be able to build own clientele for private 1 on 1 training
  • Must be able to work PM shifts
  • Maintaining order and organization within the weight room
  • Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), or a related certification is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
