Job Description:

At Activate Body Personal Training, we are looking to expand our team with passionate part-time Personal Trainers who thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Personal Training Specialist, your primary role will be to guide our members through personalized fitness programs in small groups of six or less that not only enhance their physical health but also support their overall well-being.

Workouts are provided by our Program Design Department. Clients are provided for you, no sales are required. Activate Body Personal Training Specialists work shifts of four to six hours long and are paid hourly.

  • Earning Potential: Earn from $20 to $22 hourly, with the possibility of reaching up to $30/hour within your first year.
  • Full-Time Opportunity: This position can eventually become full-time with full benefits if desired.
  • Compensation: Our Personal Training Specialists are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $20 to $22, with the potential to increase up to $30/hour within the first year. Additional benefits include professional development opportunities and discounts on services.

Training and Development: No prior experience as a personal trainer is necessary to join our team. All new hires are paid while they undergo our comprehensive 80-hour in-house certification process, ensuring you are fully equipped to meet the needs of our members. This hands-on training covers all aspects of personal training and program design, preparing you to succeed from day one.

Schedule:

  • Hours: This part-time position ranges from 12 to 20 hours per week, mostly weekday evenings.
  • Availability Requirements: Must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month (Saturday shifts are 7:30am to 12:15pm). Must be available to work at least two evening shifts per week (evening shifts run 4:30pm to 8:15pm).

Key Responsibilities

  • Fitness Guidance: Conduct one-on-one and small-group training sessions tailored to the individual needs and fitness levels of each member.
  • Technique Supervision: Actively monitor and instruct proper exercise techniques to prevent injuries and ensure optimal results.
  • Member Support: Provide motivational support and expert advice, helping members set realistic goals and maintain progress.
  • Progress Tracking: Regularly record data from each workout into our members’ charts as needed to ensure continual advancement towards their personal fitness goals.
  • Gym Stewardship: Ensure our studio spaces are always set up for the next session and properly closed down at the end of shift.

In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming the lives of our members by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve their health and fitness objectives. This position does not involve sales; instead, you can focus solely on what you do best—coaching and inspiring others towards a healthier lifestyle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to speak in front of groups and command a room.
  • Ability to adapt well under pressure
  • Competency use Apple computers and Google Sheets
  • Formal education or certification is a plus, but not essential.
  • We prioritize strong interpersonal skills.
