Our organization is growing! The country's largest family-owned and operated concrete mixer manufacturer is looking for talented people. We assemble the best concrete mixer trucks on the road right here in Converse Texas.

Beck Industrial has a position available for a Part-Time Payroll/HR Assistant.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general clerical duties, including, but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and responding to emails in support of the Human Resources department
  • Responsible for maintenance of the employee filing system
  • Maintain applicant tracking system
  • Prepare and set up for new employee orientation
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments
  • Process payroll by computing wages and deductions and entering data into payroll software
  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process
  • Conduct verifications of employment
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents on human resources activities, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; with some HR college courses
  • Payroll processing experience and knowledge is required
  • Some human resources experience and knowledge is required

  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated and self-starter
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organization skills while working with deadlines
  • Problem-solving and exceptional people skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (English)

Physical Conditions & Work Environment:

  • Position requires working in an office environment

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
