Parts Specialist / Manager trainee

Our parts department is looking for a self driven parts expert who can manage our parts and inventory department. You’ll handle everything from sourcing parts to managing our extensive inventory for a fleet of 55 vehicles and growing. Parts / Inventory

  • Manage and organize all warranty-related documentation
  • Manage the parts inventory levels closely for vehicle repairs without delay based on projected demand and matching cost targets
  • Effectively balance cost and quality when ordering parts that meet the various needs of individual departments
  • Drive an inventory control platform and record the movement of parts through all stages
  • Oversee and perform all transactions related to parts purchases and stocking of parts
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory control
  • Supervise the parts department staff
  • Monitor and maintain department expenses
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Review parts returns and manage account balances/credits
  • Evaluate vendors and maintain vendor relationships
  • Maintain department order, organization and cleanliness
  • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work depending on the needs of the business.

Service

  • Documentation - Creates and verifies Work Orders, captures specific data using required service applications, and follows procedures and document requirements in the service management system in order to have an accurate record of the work completed.
  • Service Capability - Follow processes and workflow, understand operational expectations, prioritize vehicle repairs by schedule, provide capable and consistent service through parts, information, and technicians, according to company policies and standards.
  • Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; Occasionally will climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 100 plus pounds
  • Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
  • Mandatory product knowledge, customer service skills, and organizational skills required to manage inventory properly

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years HD parts experience
  • Mechanical experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid drivers license, must meet requirements to driver company vehicles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
