The Parts Manager is primarily responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department in the branch's primary area of responsibility. Parts sales consist of Thermo King, A/C, Carrier, Tools, rebuilt and other allied parts for use on trailers, trucks, buses, and other applications. This is a working managerial position and he/she will accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization and merchandising.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments
• Work with Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs
• Generation of parts sales by means of planned sales strategy that includes calls to customers and periodic visits to customer's location
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
• Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees
• Order, stock, analyze and market parts inventory in branch. Keep inventory neat and logically organized.
• Return warranty parts to the appropriate factory on a timely basis
• Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence
• Support our mobile technicians with parts for the inventory and sales
• Strong computer skills a must. Involves heavy use of Internet, Excel, Word, Windows and our company system DIS.
