Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking Oracle Database Administrators to join our growing and talented team. This is a Full Time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) hybrid position located in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670 (St. Mary's County Maryland). Telework will be allowed with 4-5 days per month required at the customer site in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670. Candidates must be within ~90 miles of Patuxent River, Maryland 20670.

ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer Oracle database software.
- Perform routine backups and recovery, including use of Oracle's datapump export and RMAN, integrated into Rubrik management platform.
- Monitor database information (including statistics on schemas, tables, indexes, and space usage) and auditing (database access, login failures, application usage, and password changes).
- Perform daily checks of database servers, confirming status of backups, exports, jobs, and storage.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve database connection and performance issues.
- Create, modify, and delete database accounts.
- Monitor and maintain database instances for DoD STIG compliance, apply fixes and mitigations, and maintain checklists.
- May assist in migrating Oracle databases from on-premises to cloud.
- Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required.

- BS/BA or AS/AA degree and two (2) years relevant experience -OR- High School/GED and three (3) years relevant experience.
- Two (2) or more years of recent demonstrated experience performing work in the roles and responsibilities described above.
- BS/BA or AA/AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar major is preferred.
- Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Database administration experience working with Oracle 19c or above.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Active TOP SECRET/SSBI clearance or active SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SSBI.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- US Citizenship is required due to US government contract and clearance requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

- Active TOP SECRET clearance or SSBI.
- Experience setting up and configuring Amazon RDS database instances.
- AWS and/or Oracle Certification(s).
