Job Description:
Job Purpose: 2nd Shift, This position is in Greer, SC
To successfully direct the operations and employment of a department within the facility. This position will report on 2nd shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing of the department to meet and/or exceed performance goals
Set goals for employees and monitor and evaluate employee performance through annual Employee Performance Evaluations
Responsible for acting as liaison with external parties on matters relating to receiving
Direct the work of all department employees
Participating in training and testing for new systems and processes as part of implementation plan
Recommending methods for improving associate efficiency and reducing waste of time and effort (e.g., restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, job setup and related)
Collaborating cross-functionally to launch new initiatives and track/analyze performance.
Planning and driving operational non-exempt staffing needs
Leading building-wide performance management plans in partnership with leadership team
Participating in talent calibration, culture survey action planning, goal setting and rollout, performance review consultation, and IDP creation/execution.
Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
Receive, evaluate, and resolve employee complaints
Discipline employees using established company guidelines
Plan department work on a continuous basis based on production needs
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years supervisory experience
2 years warehouse and/or shipping/receiving experience
Exceptional leadership, communication, and ability to prioritize duties in a changing environment
PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
MS Office and AS400
Working conditions:
The position is at our Distribution Center. This facility is heated and cooled. Employee will be working with and near moving mechanical parts.
Physical requirements:
Candidate must be able to identify and distinguish colors, stand for long periods of time, lift/carry up to 35 lbs., reach hands and arms in any directions and kneel/stoop repeatedly, and walk continuously throughout the workday.
