OpSource has partnered with Renfrow Industrial located in Kingsport, TN.

This is a direct-hire position.

Pay for the position:

• Salary: $65,000 - 85,000/yr depending on experience

Shifts for the position:

• 1stshift: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am—5:30pm

Friday 8am—12pm

Job requirements for the position may include:

• Preparing order-of-magnitude, conceptual, feasibility, pre-design, budget, value engineering, control, definitive, and final engineer’s estimates major change order estimates for ongoing construction of facility structures.
• Interpreting the “Scope of Work” and where necessary, formulate and place sub‐contract inquiries and appraise subsequent responses.
• Contacting suppliers, vendors & manufacturers to identify material and equipment pricing to support the estimate.
• Participating in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy meetings, and post construction meetings as requested.
• Reviewing project documents and develop take-offs per plans, project specifications, P&ID’s, schematics, etc.

Qualifications for the position:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficient in scope understanding/writing, bid review and submission.
• Process piping and equipment setting estimating experience required. HVAC estimating experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Adaptability to company’s estimating system and procedures.
• Time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational skills.
