We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Freeport, TX.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for providing tactical support for the daily operation of the SAP unit while consistently utilizing a continuous improvement mindset in improving overall plant operation, reliability, and quality. You will apply Engineering Best Practices to solve process and production problems and create improvements in the plant operations. You will analyze productivity, quality, and maintenance data and use that information to optimize existing plant equipment. This position requires you to demonstrate your strong leadership qualities in safe plant operation, as the site has PSM/RMP regulated chemicals.

• Leveraging your education in an Engineering discipline and professional experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or related manufacturing environment, you will provide technical and small project support for the Daily Operations and Support Teams. Additionally, you will identify opportunities and efficiently and effectively evaluate initiatives in production and process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Demonstrating your commitment to an efficient and safe workplace, you will offer technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, EHS, and Quality Incidents, as well as participate in Process Hazard Analysis. Additionally, you will generate and complete MOCs and revalidate temporary MOCs to confirm their validity.
• You will utilize a continuous improvement mindset to drive the planning and execution of process improvement initiatives focused around quality, efficiency, cost, and reliability.
• Your proven organizational skills will be useful as you develop equipment and process standards and training materials as needed to document and manage site operations.
