About the Department and Position:

The Cayuga Centers Training Department’s mission is to provide our staff and foster parents with the knowledge and skills needed to best serve the youth, individuals and families in our programs and our agency as a whole. We strive to respond to the needs of programs, oversight agencies and stakeholders with valuable and effective training materials, resources and assessments.

The Manager of Training Operations will oversee the daily functioning of the Training Department. They are responsible for overseeing communication, coordination and overall organization of the Training Team needs to support successful training events and curriculum.

How you get to use your Skills…

  • Provide overall support to the daily operations of the Training Department
  • Assesses, conceptualizes, develops and maintains communication, coordination and scheduling systems
  • Familiarize and become the subject matter expert for training department offerings/catalogue.
  • Partner with training leadership consistently to support team efforts
  • Ensure that procedures and systems are in place to support training teams’ daily operations.
  • Assist training leadership with coordination and communication of compliance/training standards.
  • Ensure the overall tracking system for training events and requests is functioning
  • Oversee communications regarding; upcoming training offerings, scheduled training, etc.
  • Responsible for the review of training requests submitted by staff, departments and program leadership
  • Coordinate with the Training Team to ensure training events are prepared successfully
  • Oversee communications with program and agency leadership regarding training needs; including updated curriculum, training SharePoint page and other training initiatives throughout the agency.
  • Provide support to all staff, foster parents, and departments as it relates to operational needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all staff, foster parents and departments
  • Ensure the organization, maintenance and scheduling of training-related items is in place.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
  • Comply with rules and regulations governing access to Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.

Schedule:

  • Non-Exempt
  • Regular hours entail Monday - Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Must be flexible to meet program needs.

Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associate’s required with human services experience
  • Experience with training systems and certifications, for not-for-profit agencies preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining systems required.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Google Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team context.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing strong customer service.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner.
  • Ability to travel to all agency locations as required.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred.
  • Bilingual-English / Spanish preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time, depending on department needs
  • Completing paperwork -Such as copying, scanning and faxing documents
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
