Description:
Performs preventative and emergency maintenance. Performs specialized and generalized skilled maintenance of CCAA facilities, systems and fixtures such as jet bridges, conveyor systems, plumbing and various other construction trades; conducts routine inspections of conveyor systems noting wear and tear damage to components; tests conveyors to insure proper workings of belts and gears; installs and maintains a variety of roofing and drainage systems noting leaks and safety deficiencies; applies new surfaces and repairs shingles, tile and mental roofing.

Installs and repairs structural elements such as overhangs, covered walkways, storage area’s and athletic structures; inspects and repairs plumbing fixtures; participates in preparing and finishing painting walls, doors, buildings, rooms and other surfaces; installs repairs or replaces doors, walls, signs counters, shelves, fences and stairways; assists the electrical maintenance crew with repairing/replacing fuse boxes, circuits, fixtures and switches.

Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures: receives and reviews various documentation, and reviews, completes, processes, forwards or retains as appropriate; prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, and other documentation; compiles data for further processing or for use in preparation of department reports; and maintains computerized and/or hardcopy records.

Operates or uses various equipment and supplies in order to complete work assignments: operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment to include forklift, utility van, and dolly as necessary to complete essential functions.

Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, smoke, temperature and noise extremes, confined spaces, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, and bright/dim lights.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Requires the level of formal education typically acquired by high school graduation or acquisition of a GED. Requires moderate vocational experience. Involves knowledge and comprehension of techniques, information, methods, procedures, which are related to specific jobs such as supply or inventory specialists and which can be acquired from some combination of vocational training, apprentice training, on the job training, or essential experience in lower-level jobs during a period of up to 2 years.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
