As we expand, we're in search of an experienced Logistics Manager to spearhead our end-to-end logistics operations, including imports, production management, efficient shipping, transportation, and coordination with third-party FF+E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) installers, ensuring timely deliveries and seamless installations.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination from production to installation. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of imports, production management, shipping, and transportation logistics within the furniture industry, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with third-party FF+E installers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain and Production Management:

o Coordinate with suppliers to manage the timely and cost-effective receipt of raw materials for furniture production.

o Oversee production schedules, ensuring efficiency, and adherence to timelines.

o Define and enforce packaging standards to ensure the safe transit of furniture.

o Coordinate with production teams to implement packaging guidelines that meet industry standards and protect the integrity of products.

2. Inventory Control, Shipping, and Transportation:

o Implement inventory control best practices to minimize carrying costs and ensure accuracy.

o Develop and execute comprehensive shipping and transportation plans and schedules, optimizing routes and carrier relationships.

o Ensure the smooth and timely transportation of furniture from production facilities to warehouses and installation locations.

3. Warehouse Management:

o Optimize warehouse operations, including storage, order fulfillment for installation, and shipping processes.

o Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate transportation logistics from the warehouse to installation sites.

4. Imports and Customs Compliance:

o Manage the end-to-end import process, collaborating with international suppliers and freight forwarders.

o Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, including accurate documentation and adherence to tariffs.

o Stay informed about changes in customs laws and tariffs, and proactively adjust logistics strategies accordingly.

o Collaborate with customs brokers to expedite clearance processes and resolve customs-related issues.

o Implement and manage a robust container tracking system, providing real-time visibility throughout the transportation process.

o Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation of containers from port to port.

o Oversee the creation and adherence to documentation and labels required for imports and domestic shipments ensuring accuracy and compliance.

5. Coordination with Third-Party FF+E Installers:

o Establish and maintain effective communication channels with third-party FF+E installers.

o Coordinate logistics and installation schedules with installers to ensure seamless and timely project completions.

o Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the installation process.

6. Container Tracking:

o Implement and manage a robust container tracking system, providing real-time visibility throughout the transportation process.

o Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation of containers from port to port.

7. Quality Assurance:

o Implement and oversee quality control measures throughout the logistics process to maintain delivery of high product standards.

8. Cost Optimization:

o Analyze logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service levels.

o Monitor and report KPIs related to logistics, production schedules, and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

o Proven experience as a Logistics Manager in the furniture industry.

o In-depth knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and production processes.

o Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

o Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
