Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions is actively recruiting for a talented and skilled Global Logistics Manager.

Rhinestahl Corporation is a global leader in the supply of engine tooling for all major MRO’s and OEM’s. As a part of this, Rhinestahl procures tools from suppliers in all geographic regions and then delivers to its global customers through a 3PL network and physical warehouse locations. The Logistics Manager is responsible for all logistics movements between suppliers and customers through our 3PL provider. This includes all inbound shipments from suppliers to Rhinestahl and/or 3PL’s locations, Drop Shipments from suppliers direct to customers, and outbound shipments from Rhinestahl and 3PL’s locations to customers. In addition, the Logistics Manager will negotiate and manage contracts with Global 3PL partners, trouble shoot global freight issues to meet customer requirements, drive cost and performance, and create/maintain standard work for operational excellence for all warehouse and logistics processes
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all freight in from suppliers and freight out to customers as well as the accurate tracking of these movements around the world.
  • Provide accurate freight lane information on cost and lead-time to supply chain and sales to enable accurate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculations are utilized for quoting and execution.
  • Responsible for tracking fluctuations in freight costs for all modes (Air, Truck, Ocean) to drive forecasting and mitigation activities. This includes understanding seasonality, peak season, fuel surcharges, as well as geopolitical and natural disasters that affect costs and availability.
  • Lead the Mason, Ohio Warehouse team meeting customer expectations through driving operational excellence. In addition, create and own best practice and standard work for all shipping and logistics processes utilized by other Rhinestahl global locations.
  • Effectively manage and improve logistics performance related to quality, cost, and delivery through warehouse and 3PL transactions.
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures to maintain international import & export and VAT compliance.
  • Responsible for filing and recovering claims for freight damage.
  • Coordinating complex, international freight movements for inbound, drop shipment and outbound freight.
  • Collaborate with Supply team, Carriers, 3PL partners and sales to drive cost reduction through freight consolidation and optimal freight modes.
  • Operate as a liaison to the Customer Account Managers ensuring that customer expedites are prioritized appropriately for the business.
  • Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 7 years minimum of related experience in distribution center or manufacturing shipping/receiving environment including all manual operations.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years minimum experience with the global export and import of goods.
  • Knowledgeable in the use bonded on non-bonded warehouses to reduce duties and tariffs.
  • Strong understanding of tariff, duties, and VAT policies to optimize the supply chain.
  • Expert in Inco terms to help sales and supply departments reduce freight in and out costs.
  • Import and Export experience - Harmonized Tariff Codes & Schedule B
  • Experience selecting setting up and maintaining 3PL’s to meet the company and customer needs.
  • International freight, logistics, and 3PL Experience. (Europe, Middle East, Asia)
  • Strong project management, planning, organizational, leadership, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in planning, managing and level loading shipping schedules.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively through a changing work environment and to lead the staff through change, as needed.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer knowledge – Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective Leadership Skills
