The Logistics Broker Manager will oversee and manage a team of logistics
brokers responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods for our clients. This
role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to drive results
in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Broker Manager will play a critical role in
developing and implementing strategies to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and
exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of
logistics brokers to ensure they meet and exceed performance targets.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients,
understanding their unique transportation needs, and providing tailored solutions
to meet their requirements.
Carrier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, negotiate
rates, and ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods.
Operational Excellence: Implement processes and procedures to streamline
operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to
minimize disruptions to transportation services.
Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide
regular reports and analysis to management on team performance, client
satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Training and Development: Develop training programs to onboard new team
members and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to
enhance team skills and knowledge.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies,
including safety standards, legal requirements, and ethical practices.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements,
technology enhancements, and best practices implementation to drive
continuous improvement in service delivery.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and
competitive landscape to identify opportunities for business growth and
expansion.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics brokerage or transportation
management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and team members.
Solid understanding of transportation logistics, including freight modes,
regulations, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in logistics software and technology, including transportation
management systems (TMS) and customer relationship management (CRM)
tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make
data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while
maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
