Estimator and Project Manager

Long standing landscape design/construction company in East Hampton, NY seeks an estimator. Our ideal candidate should be able to assess material, labor and equipment and have a clear understanding of architectural and conceptual drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Review construction documents and specifications, including take-offs
• Create and analyze construction budgets and proposals
• Able to read blueprints
• Effectively work, communicate and follow-up with landscape architects, and designers to clarify construction drawings
• Request and review subcontractor and vendor quotes for various work items
• Coordinate project work with subcontractors and in-house crew
• Perform site inventories, analyses, and take field measurements as needed
• Efficiently and effectively cost estimate
• Cost tracking and analysis through construction of project
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience and Skills

• Knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Must be organized, self-motivated, have exceptional communication skills and be able to multi-task.
• Sage 300/Timberline experience preferred.
• Minimum experience 2-3 years
