Overview

The Landscape Designer is a non-licensed designer that assists project leadership in all aspects of project design, development, and documentation through all phases of a project.

Responsibilities

  • Attends office staff and scheduling meetings
  • Collaborates and effectively communicates with project team and consultants
  • Prepares project correspondence, documentation, and presentation materials
  • Prepares project documents that meet design, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Prepares and coordinates CAD and other project documents
  • Prepares takeoffs and assists with cost estimation
  • Assists with preparation of project specifications
  • Assists with Construction Administration activities and makes site visits
  • Manages digital project files
  • Assists in project submittal review

Qualifications

  • Landscape Architecture degree from accredited BLA or MLA university program
  • 2-5 years of experience in private practice design firm
  • Well-developed skills with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and InDesign
  • Contract document layout and production knowledge
