Overview
The Landscape Designer is a non-licensed designer that assists project leadership in all aspects of project design, development, and documentation through all phases of a project.
Responsibilities
- Attends office staff and scheduling meetings
- Collaborates and effectively communicates with project team and consultants
- Prepares project correspondence, documentation, and presentation materials
- Prepares project documents that meet design, schedule, and budget expectations
- Prepares and coordinates CAD and other project documents
- Prepares takeoffs and assists with cost estimation
- Assists with preparation of project specifications
- Assists with Construction Administration activities and makes site visits
- Manages digital project files
- Assists in project submittal review
Qualifications
- Landscape Architecture degree from accredited BLA or MLA university program
- 2-5 years of experience in private practice design firm
- Well-developed skills with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and InDesign
- Contract document layout and production knowledge
