At Total Environment, the Landscape Designer is responsible for producing innovative and creative design solutions while keeping the client schedule and budget in view. You will actively seek out new business development opportunities, contribute to company design and project revenue, and estimate, sell, & manage landscape design/build projects that appeal to the company's target market. It is imperative that the Landscape Designer is pleasant, informed, organized, and highly motivated to work at their peak ability for the mutual benefit of the customer and organization. Employees at every level need to have the ability to respond proactively to change in order to allow for continued expansion and increased profitability. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the level of sales required to keep crews working at the desired level.
  • Seek and develop new business as required to maintain sales goals.
  • Communicate with clients, potential clients, vendors, trade associates and other employees in a professional manner as part of business development and retention.
  • Respond to clients or prospects phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Generate leads and meet with potential clients. Earn leads via referrals from current clients.
  • Correspond with client and production staff to ensure design integrity and provide a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
  • Produce creative designs while staying current with new products and techniques.
  • Keep company and client goals/objectives integrated in all designs.
  • Maintain continuing education in sales and landscape design.
  • Develop project estimates and contracts.
  • Present designs, project objectives, and estimates to clients in a clear and concise manner.

  • Communication: Touch base with prospects on a weekly basis to keep them informed on progress and changes

  • Professional appearance: Display a clean, neat, and professional appearance defined by company standards
