Landscape Crew Member - Starting$24/27 per hour

Job Summary:

The Landscape Crew Leader must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of a landscape construction to include operating equipment, site & soil prep, grading, planting techniques interfacing with customers & subcontractors while directing multiple crews. They will oversee and help manage multiple crews and jobs. The Landscape Crew Leader must also interact daily with the production manager, designer, and accounting personnel. There is also a level of coaching / training crew members and increased efficiency throughout the job sites they oversee.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Inform & updates production manager with job status
• Continually coordinates with company crew leaders
• Oversees the production of up to 3 jobs simultaneously
• Ensures that jobs are kept on schedule & satisfactory
• Ensures daily safety inspections of equipment, vehicles, and job sites
• Able to follow a landscape plan to scale
• Communicate with supervisors and make recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns
• Ability to understand projected job hours and com in within the expected range
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including jobsite & equipment

Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of landscape install and plant material
• Supervisory experience is required
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ust be able to read a landscape plan to scale
• Experience working in all weather conditions
• Able to work both alone and manage multiple crews
• Must be able to report to work on time daily
• Must have reliable transportation
• Excellent communication skills
