Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer

Salary: $50,000 Base + Unlimited Commission

The role of Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer is to design, estimate, sell and oversee/manage landscape projects. It requires an individual who is exceptionally skilled in landscape architecture and design at a small to large residential scale, is comfortable with high-touch clients and properties, and has experience with sales processes, CRM organization and construction estimation. A customer-centric mindset and extensive knowledge in horticulture and landscape construction practices is essential. This position reports directly to the Founder & CEO.

The primary job duties are, but not limited to:

▪ Sales o Meet or exceed individually determined annual revenue and gross margin sales goals o Collect payments from customers in a timely manner o Manage your own book of sales/business o Responsible for the initial-through-final meetings with clients to introduce the company and represent Branch Landscape Group’s design-build, maintenance and furnishing capabilities o Communicate with clients in a timely and respectful manner and represent Branch Landscape Group professionally at all times o Provide excellent customer service from a customer-centric mindset, and facilitate Branch Landscape Group’s enhanced customer experience o Drive business development, attract your own clientele and attend business development events

▪ Design o Prepare landscape plans and design details, developing them from conceptual to final design while incorporating all components of a full landscape plan. This includes, but is not limited to: planting, paving, grading, irrigation, lighting, material/product selection and accompanying landscape elements such as fencing, pools, fire and water features and furnishings o Prepare construction details as needed for the implementation of the design and interpretation by project management, field staff and subcontractors o Create presentation packages and collect necessary samples for client presentation meetings o Responsible for all client meetings from consultation through construction contracting o Cohesively work with other members of the design team and project management to ensure a successful project from design to installation.

▪ Estimation o Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project estimates in Aspire for designed projects to present to clients o Obtain proposals from subcontractors and review them for feedback and accuracy prior to client review o Obtain and confer with subcontractors at time of estimation, prior to, and during construction of the project to assist with in-field verification and problem-solving o Prepare proposals and construction contracts

▪ Construction Management o Oversee the construction of the project and work professionally with the construction team installing the project o Make routine site visits and assist in the layout of plants, boulders, location of special features, etc. o Consistently manage all project to the initial project budget and create timely change orders o Manage your personal project workflow and deadlines o See a project through from point-of-sale to a quality finished product o Maintain excellent customer service, communication and expertise throughout

▪ Additional Duties o Manage, mentor, advise, instruct and collaborate with Design Associates and Project Coordinators o Confer with clients, builders, architects, engineers and project managers as required through the construction process o Responsible for the submission of designs to any approving bodies (HOAs, DRCs, etc.) o Maintain accurate records throughout the design and construction phase of the project and file them systematically o Attend business development functions with builders, architects and other design trades o Represent Branch Landscape Group at any necessary sales and/or lead generation events o Continue education in the form of trade show seminars, vendor events and knowledge expansion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
