James Hyatt Studio is a highly personalized, and internationally recognized Landscape Architecture firm specializing in
luxury resorts, up-scale communities, and private residential estates. Our studio prioritizes design excellence and client
service to engage and connect people to the landscape and enrich the human experience. Rich with exceptionally detailed
outdoor spaces, the studio’s work can be seen at the most exclusive resorts, residential estates and upscale retail
environments across the United States and throughout the world. Current projects range in locations including California,
Texas, Wyoming, and Hawaii. Some travel may be required.
James Hyatt Studio is seeking a qualified Landscape Architect/Designer with a proven record of work experience in all
phases of design; concept through implementation. Successful candidates will employ vision and creativity throughout the
entirety of a project and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, support and contribute to team efforts while also
being comfortable and confident working independently. Being a small office, we encourage an entrepreneurial spirit, we
expose team members to all aspects of design, and we offer a hands-on experience with an expectation that everyone is
able to contribute. Prior experience in high-end residential design and resort/hospitality projects serving a demanding
client base is highly desired. Experience in renderings, graphics, and construction documentation required.

Salary range for this position will start at $65,000, commensurate on experience, skills, talent, and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university,
  • Possess both a strong technical aptitude and keen design sense,
  • Demand adherence to exceptional performance standards,
  • Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail,
  • Have a strong work ethic and peer to peer communication skills,
  • Ability to discuss, develop, and communicate ideas with verbal and graphic clarity,
  • Have a positive and open attitude,
  • Ability to present plans and ideas to high profile clientele,
  • Exceptional graphic communication capabilities are required,
  • Knowledge of construction documents and drafting custom details required,
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, Lumion, AutoCAD, and Microsoft 365 are required.
Responsibilities for these positions will include graphic production of design packages (SD/DD) including illustrative plans,
2D renderings, and 3D renderings; assisting and leading development and production of construction documents,
brainstorming with team members on design ideas and solutions, working out technical details, grading and drainage,
research, client and consultant communication, and consultant coordination. This position requires flexibility and
willingness to move from project to project serving in a variety of roles as needed. Strong consideration will be made for
those who have highly refined graphic communication abilities. This is a dog friendly office, so must be willing to work in
the presence of canine companions.
