About the Role

The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing tests suites of our client/server web-based applications. This includes manual test cases as well as development of automated test suites. You will be working on an Agile software team with all roles to produce software used in the automotive diagnostics industry.


Responsible for:

  • Conduct thorough and accurate testing of client/server and web-based applications and backend processes.
  • Follow standards and procedures established by QA lead.
  • Design, implement, and execute manual test cases and plans based on product financial specifications.
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for repeatable test cases and evaluate results.
  • Analyze software issues to determine root causes and provide detailed reports or enhancement suggestions to the developers.
  • Document software defects in the issue-tracking system and proactively communicate with software developers.
  • Write and edit test case scripts and queries.
  • Partner with developers on root causing software bugs and defects.


Skill Sets

  • SQL
  • JMeter or Postman
  • Selenium or Cucumber
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand complex environments
  • Good interpersonal and communication details


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in an existing QA role


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Associates degree or 3 years of undergraduate study towards computer science, information technology, engineering
