Position
EnGoPlanet is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to join our team. This role is essential for managing and optimizing our purchasing and supply chain operations, ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials and services from global sources, including our office in Serbia. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in supply chain management, possess excellent negotiation skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
What You Will Do
- Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and prices.
- Process purchase orders and review deliveries against orders.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments, including R&D and production, to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Maintain strong working relationships with our global suppliers, including those in Serbia.
- Assist in the management of the supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures regarding purchasing and procurement ethics.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven working experience in purchasing or supply chain management is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a global, multicultural environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant purchasing management software.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Serbian or other languages is a plus due to the international nature of the supply chain.
