Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Quality Engineer to join our team. The Junior Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our aerospace products through the implementation of quality control and assurance processes. This position requires a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, quality management, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP). Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Product Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as CMMs, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality deviations, non-conformities, and defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and quality-related data. Generate quality reports and documentation required for customer and regulatory audits.
  • Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in aerospace quality standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement tools.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient with First Article Inspection Reports in AS9102 format.

  • Microsoft Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
