Job Overview:

We are seeking an Irrigation/Sprinkler Technician Trainee to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician/Sprinkler trainee you will learn how to be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems for residential properties.

If you are good at problem solving, able to work with limited supervision, and have excellent communication skills, then this may be the career for you. Candidates must be able to do all kinds of physical labor involve in installing and repairing lawn sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential properties
- Inspect existing systems to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Repair or replace damaged components such as sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and controllers
- Adjust water flow and pressure to ensure optimal system performance
- Program irrigation timers and controllers
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters and adjusting sprinkler heads
- Collaborate with landscape designers and gardeners to ensure proper irrigation for plants and lawns
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries or concerns

Requirements:

- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repairs
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging trenches or lifting heavy equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues with irrigation systems and implement effective solutions
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
