The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our dispensary's inventory operations to ensure accurate stock levels, compliance with regulatory requirements, efficient supply chain management, and effective inventory control specific to the cannabis industry. The Inventory Manager will play a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing costs, maximizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Responsibilities: 1. Cannabis Inventory Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory management strategies and procedures to maintain optimal stock levels of cannabis products.
  • Ensure accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of cannabis inventory in compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits & daily counts to identify discrepancies and reconcile any inventory discrepancies according to legal requirements.
  • Assist with the entering & tracking of non-cannabis inventory and accessories.

2. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

  • Stay current with current cannabis laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Work with compliance to ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines related to inventory management, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Implement and maintain systems to track and document cannabis inventory movement, sales, and disposal as mandated by regulatory bodies.

3. Supplier Management and Procurement:

  • Collaborate with procurement & cultivators to ensure timely procurement of cannabis products and related inventory items.
  • Assist with the procurement process by providing insight into inventory turnover.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality control, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

4. Inventory Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports on cannabis inventory levels, turnover rates, sales trends, and product performance.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for inventory optimization, cost reduction, and sales growth.
  • Provide procurement, marketing & retail departments with actionable insights and recommendations based on inventory analysis/levels.

5. Systems and Technology:

  • Utilize inventory management software and reporting tools specific to the cannabis industry to track and manage inventory effectively.
  • Continuously assess and improve inventory management systems, processes, and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create, maintain & enforce a standard for the information that must be entered for each product in the software & on the website (i.e. Photos, THC,
  • Descriptions, strains, etc.)6. Training and Team Leadership:
  • Train and supervise inventory & retail personnel, ensuring they understand and adhere to inventory management protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability,
  • and professional growth.

7. Security and Loss Prevention:

  • Implement and maintain security protocols, inventory counts, and other measures to prevent theft, diversion, or unauthorized access to cannabis inventory.
  • Collaborate with security personnel & compliance to ensure compliance with security requirements and monitor inventory-related risks. Utilize security cameras to investigate any missing inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated environment.
  • Solid knowledge of cannabis inventory management protocols, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking systems and other cannabis-specific inventory management software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, and OneDrive/SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of applicable local and state cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Detail-oriented and highly accurate in inventory tracking and reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

  • Fall River, MA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
