Chitra is looking for an Instructor/Writer for the 17A CyOOC Phase 1 (Programming and Scripting) course to support the Army Cyber School at Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Position Requirements:
- Top Secret Clearance / SCI Eligibility
- Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint and Blackboard.
- Graduated and have current (within last five years) TRADOC Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Foundation Instructor Facilitator’s Course (FIFC), or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC); Faculty Development Program-1 (FDP-1) (as required); and Installation Staff Contractor Training Course (ISCTC) or equivalent (i.e., Cadre Training Course (CTC) or Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC)).
- Possess pedagogical/andragogical content knowledge, defined as the ability to recognize student mistakes, why they may have made those mistakes, and how to get students back on track from where they are.
- Able to diagnose underlying student misconceptions and misunderstandings from the mistakes they make and then help them correct those misconceptions and misunderstandings instead of merely addressing the mistakes themselves.
- Possess advanced presentation speaking skills (e.g., tailoring content and delivery for different audiences, presenting confidently to large or small groups, and using more creative approaches to presenting).
- Technical Instructor certification or designation (e.g., CTT+, teaching certificate, certified professional instructor, master training specialist, or adjunct faculty certification) OR (2) years of experience teaching technical content in a formal classroom setting. Experience is defined as experience in teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military institution, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
- Three years’ demonstrated proficiency in Python, Power Shell, and BASH programming, design, and testing.
OR
- A basic or higher (i.e., senior or master) Certification as a Cyberspace Capabilities Developer (CCD).
Position is contingent upon contract award.
