  • Provide excellent internal customer service and support for employees, remaining approachable but objective and instilling confidence in employees.
  • Manage end-to-end benefits enrollment process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Guide and educate employees on our company benefits, answering questions and helping employees navigate our benefit resources.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers to resolve issues and enhance offerings.
  • Develop and implement wellness initiatives to promote a healthy and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize events, workshops, and activities that support employee well-being.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Serve as backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages.
  • Manage leave of absences, short-term disability, and long-term disability.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on LOA matters.
  • Administer employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation
  • Address Initiates contact with employees, supervisors, and doctor's office regarding workers' compensation claims.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent communication skills: able to effectively communicate HR concepts and policies company-wide with diverse audiences using a variety of media and channels.
  • Expert in the use of cloud based HRIS technology, full suite of Microsoft Office software, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Uses analytical and problem-solving skills to find creative solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Education, Psychology related field, and 2-4 years of progressive experience, with significant experience in benefits management OR 5-6 years of experience in progressive HR experience, with a focus in benefits management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Aptitude for problem-solving
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
  • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • Master’s in Human Resources
  • Read and write Spanish is a plus
