About Your Work:
As the Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) you will support the success of company leaders and employees in activities that range from day-to-day tasks to sustaining a vibrant and productive work environment. Responsibilities of the role include staffing administration, coordination of training and development activities, supporting employee relations and performance management activities, and assisting with the facilitation of compliance and benefits programs. The HRC is an hourly position that reports directly to the Office Manager.

Responsibilities

Staffing Administration

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure staffing needs are continually met
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Assist with recruitment efforts by sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
  • Conduct reference checks, background checks, and pre-employment drug screens on potential candidates
  • Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate records for employees, new hires, and candidates
  • Create and submit staffing reports to management
Training and Development

  • Work with business leaders to organize and communicate business initiatives
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions
  • Partner with management to support employee progression through established career paths
  • Assist with the deployment of skill assessments and development plans
  • Facilitate training and advancement of company mentor programs
Employee Relations and Performance Management

  • Champion the company culture
  • Coordinate amongst employees, managers, and senior leaders to build collaborative relationships enabling better decisions and organizational effectiveness
  • Provide support to employees in various topics such as leaves, performance management, conflict resolution and other situations as they arise
  • Administer performance evaluations by compiling and documenting performance data, completing evaluation review forms, and assisting with the communication and delivery
  • Partner with managers to resolve employee compliance and disciplinary issues
  • Maintain confidential personnel files
Compliance and Benefits

  • Support management and employees with compliance to employment laws and programs
  • Ensure company policies are effectively communicated and administered
  • Coordinate with leaders to conduct open enrollment and other benefits related programs and events as needed
  • Ensure employees gain an understanding of all benefit plans and enrollment provisions
  • Support the deployment of health and wellness initiatives
Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, or Communications is preferred but not required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling company and personnel information
  • Experience in employee supervision is a plus
