Job Description:
The Human Resources Administrative Support will provide administrative support to one or more human resources functions completing various tasks related to compensation, benefits, training, payroll processing, new hire onboarding, and will compile statistics for various HR management reports. May conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references and respond to routine questions on HR policy. The position reports to the HR Manager.

Some related tasks include:

  • Payroll processing and time keeping
  • New hire pre-screening and onboarding
  • Maintain company HRIS and other employee files and records
  • Completing verification of employment requests
  • I9 verification
  • Filing and tracking workers comp claims
  • Coordinating benefits open enrollment
  • Prepare census data as needed
  • Compliance and tracking annual required training modules ie: bloodborne pathogens,

HIPAA, etc.

  • Working with and securing highly confidential information
  • Apply for and work to resolve issues with state income taxes
  • Complete census reporting
  • Complete background checks and MVR record keeping and reporting
  • Coordinate with other team members to supply information needed for DOT compliance and other compliance needs
  • Other duties will apply as this list is not all inclusive

Expected Performance:
Employee will have the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information with a variety of tasks. This person will work independently, be detail oriented and have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Employee will communicate verbally and in writing in a professional and effective manner.

Typically requires:

  • B. A or B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience or
  • 3 years of experience in a human resources role completing payroll or HR other administrative tasks
  • Intermediate or advances level of Excel experience
  • PHR is not required but would be a strength in this role

Experience:

  • Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)
  • onboarding: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Paycom: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)
