Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist that has payroll experience, or someone who has recently graduated from an HR degree program. As a Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting our team and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by providing comprehensive HR support and guidance.

Responsibilities:
· Processes weekly payroll for the company through verification of labor reports and upload of hours into payroll processing system, review of pre-process reports before finalizing payroll batch.

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, procedure/policy changes, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

· Onboarding document review. Work with the hiring partners in processing applicants and new hire documents for open positions. Ensure legally acceptable documents are presented in the process of the I-9’s and other onboarding documents through the audit process.

· Maintains employee personnel files and database. We are transitioning to a paperless system which requires the scanning and maintenance of paperless files.

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate agent. Help guide employees through human resources procedures and answer questions about our policies and procedures.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations

Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of FMLA regulations and other employment laws
- Familiarity with HRIS systems for data management
- Ability to effectively manage talent acquisition and retention strategies
- Knowledge of social media management for employer branding purposes

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
