The ideal candidate will possess prior HR experience; including, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations. Candidate must enjoy teaching others, remain flexible in a changing work environment, be confident in problem solving and making quick decisions. Comfortable in processing data and learning custom software packages is a must.

This energetic, outgoing and detail-oriented person will join a small and growing team at Bridges Home Services, a division of Spectrum Generations, a private, non-profit corporation with its home office in Augusta, Maine. BRIDGES is a home care organization providing services designed to help elderly and disabled adults live independently and securely in their own homes by providing personal and domestic care services.

Abilities/Job Knowledge

• Knowledge of Human Resources practices
• Knowledgeable in use of office equipment used in the execution of job duties; must be able to utilize this equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organization and verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks with accuracy and follow through.
• Understand the appropriate levels of confidentiality.
• Comfortable with public speaking and in a group setting, ability to engage employees.

Education/Training/Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• 3-4 years combination of education/training/experience in the Human Resources field.
