Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology/Facilities Operations Management Department Chair
Days: M – F; On-Site
State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a department chair to start August 2024 (Fall Semester) within the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology & Facilities Operations and Management programs. This is a full-time, 12-month annual contact, exempt and benefit-eligible department chair position.
Required Qualifications: Required qualifications include current position as an instructor in HVAC Technology/Facilities Management Technology or a related field; a bachelor’s degree or the willingness to earn one; as well as excellent communication, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a minimum of three years of managerial experience and five or more years of higher education experience.
Job Responsibilities: In addition to serving as an instructor, the Department Chair is responsible for the operational and strategic functions of one or more programs. Duties include but are not limited to operational and strategic oversight; faculty supervision; coordination of department initiatives such as scheduling, traditional and online curriculum assessment and development, and budget preparation and management; student recruitment and advising; and other administrative duties.
