Cvent’s Financial Planning and Analysis team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to sit in its McLean, VA Headquarters or Dallas, TX remote office. This role will involve duties across all facets of the FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting business partnering, and monthly and quarterly reporting of key financial and operating metrics. Additionally, this individual will on occasion interact with Senior Management and will assist in preparing analyses and presentations used to help support key strategic business decisions. Finally, this individual will play an integral part in helping the FP&A function adapt and mature as the Company grows organically and through acquisition, assisting in the implementation and maintenance of business intelligence solutions, creating new policies and procedures, constructing models for new products and improving existing analyses, models and procedures. In This Role, You Will::
  • Create financial models and develop ad hoc analysis
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results versus prior periods, forecast and budget
  • Gather input from business units in support of forecasts and budgets
  • Provide assistance to cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements across the business
  • Responsible for organizing, maintaining, and disseminating metrics and tracking in support of process improvement initiatives and ongoing operational activities and management
  • Assist in the preparation of Senior Management and Board of Directors presentations
  • Analyze operational performance and trends, influence appropriate action to ensure financial results and objectives are maximized
  • Create and standardize financial and operational reports/dashboards, process metrics, KPI’s, etc.
  • Become expert on current systems that source key information required to report on business performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Here's What You Need::
  • Bachelor’s degree, BS in Finance or CPA preferred
  • 2 - 4+ years of experience in a FP&A role, preferably for a cloud-based company
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Corporate finance or financial modeling experience required
  • Detailed oriented, resourceful, inquisitive and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team
  • Ability to prioritize competing assignments and comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with business intelligence tools preferred
