Job Title: Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Company Description:

Fluid Energy Processing & Equipment Company , a manufacturer of Flash Driers , Jet-Mill Systems and Custom Processing Services that serve the pharmaceutical and industrial chemical industries throughout the world, is seeking candidates for an entry level Mechanical Engineer for our Equipment Division.

F.E. maintains manufacturing, sales, service, and custom processing facilities in Hatfield and Telford, PA.

Basic Job Function:

Provide mechanical design and product support for the release of new equipment designs and the improvement of legacy product designs in our Equipment Division. This position requires the use of CAD software including DraftSight, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks 2016 or newer. SolidWorks CAD software training will be available if required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and documentation of new equipment and auxiliary equipment used in the Dryer or Jet-Mill Systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality testing.
• Maintain product service and compile spare part order components.
• Work with vendors to fabricate and supply various equipment components.
• Work with company engineers to create working drawings to machine and fabricate various weldments, castings, and machined Fluid Energy equipment components.
• Provide machine shops, and other fabrication companies with drawings and technical support to build components as needed.
• Model and design systems using SolidWorks software.
• Troubleshoot and assist with the improvements of various laboratory size Tray Systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory and orders.
• After having learned a complete understanding of our processing equipment systems, there is the potential for field engineer travel work throughout the world for 5 to 7 day duration trips a couple times each year.

Education and Experience:

• 4-year BSME degree preferred, but not required if you have 2 years of recent mechanical / electrical drafting experience.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant material handling equipment designer experience preferred, but not required.
• 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred ) part and assembly modeling, drawing generation and CAD database experience required. Other 3D CAD experience will also be considered.
• Experience using Microsoft Office software and applications required.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written required.
• Understanding the workings of industrial equipment such as Powder handling equipment, motors, blowers, pumps, pressure / temperature sensors is helpful.

Additional Information:

Salary Range; $62K to $73K

Pay: $62,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
