Compensation and Benefits:


The Full Salary Range for this position is $72,529.00 - $120,881.00 Annually. The Hiring Range is 89,409 - 117,656 Annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:

The Information Technology Department’s GIS and Special Projects division is responsible for managing and administering the City’s enterprise asset management system (Hexagon EAM), the geographic information system (Esri), and the customer resource management system (Salesforce). These systems are utilized across the organization and by the general public. EAM is used to maintain over 1,200,000 assets and process more than 200,000 work orders annually and GIS databases store over 500 feature classes and maintain 200+ map services. GIS is on-premise in a SQL Server 2014 environment. Asset management utilizes Hexagon’s EAM v12.1 on a SaaS platform.

This position, in tandem with a co-administrator, is responsible for the administration of the EAM system and the GIS database environments, including overseeing the management and organization of databases, performing data validation, performing tasks related to integration with other systems, implementation of new technologies, ensuring data and system availability, security, and providing a long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities facing the organization. Experience with Hexagon EAM is not mandatory, but it is required you have some experience with asset management software. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day administration of the City’s EAM application including software configuration, custom report writing using Crystal Reports & COGNOS, building dashboards & KPI’s, administering software upgrades, and assisting end users. The Administrator acts in a lead technical role and is responsible for supporting integration between multiple relational database systems, as well as supporting departmental EAM administrators, GIS analysts, and application developers with complex technical issues and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of RDBMS and experience with complex data management techniques, such as ETL. This position reports to the GIS and Special Projects Manager, but will often lead projects requiring advanced technical and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's with 4-6 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server database administrator, Asset Management system administrator, or GIS data manager
    • OR Masters Degree with 2+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server database administrator, Asset Management system administrator, or GIS data manager
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • 3+ years experience with Infor EAM or other enterprise work management software
  • 3+ years experience with ESRI's GIS technology
  • 1+ year experience with Python scripting
  • 1+ year experience with Javascript programming language
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
