The Director of Operations/General Manager (DO/GM) for a Regional Developer provides restaurant management and strategic direction for the operations of the RD Owned Daddy’s restaurant, future independent franchisees located in the RD Territory & future General Managers (GMs) of all locations within the Territory for the RD Owned Daddy’s restaurant. Understanding the operating principles of Daddy’s is essential. The DO/GM must convey the Daddy’s daily processes to his/her staff and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Daddy’s.

The right team member for this position is one who possesses a positive attitude, can get the job done, and leads his/her staff by example. Attention to detail, being able to pull the best out of everyone, and a work smarter, not harder mindset is essential. This person is good at following systems, can enforce the systems already in place, and are passionate about the Daddy’s menu, customer service, and leading people. Must have a true LOVE for people and customers and hospitality.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The DO/GM has excellent communication skills, has the confidence to set staff direction, communicate expectations, and be accountable for results. The DO/GM provides staff with proper training, monitoring, performance evaluation. Additionally, it is essential for this person to ensure that all daily procedures are completed, and that all food is consistently prepared and served per Daddy’s standards. The DO/GM must maintain control of purchasing, receiving, inventory, maintenance, and labor budgets. This person creates a workplace that promotes teamwork, recognition, and mutual respect. The DO/GM must convey the Daddy’s culture to his/her staff and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Daddy’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Principal Duties:

Leadership: Hire, manage, train, develop, and evaluateall positions within his/her operational area to ensure a high level of engagement and success. Maintains availability for development of all operational personnel

Training and Development: Develop a strong team dynamic between assistant general manager (AGM), back of house (BOH) staff and front of house (FOH) staff. Communicate with staff members effectively in order to ensure great customer service

Operational Assistance: Ensure restaurant is delivering perfectly executed food and “warm hug” service in compliance with Daddy’s Brand Standards. Monitor kitchen equipment ensuring it is kept in good repair; making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible

Maintain Culture: Support, reinforce and align decisions with Daddy’s culture. Ensure that all staff members meet the necessary guidelines to make sure there are no injuries or accidents. Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance, positive feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction. Leading staff, retaining staff and boosting staff morale

Manage Strategic Initiatives: Understands, defines, and delivers the purpose, requirements, and desired results of all Company programs. Leads his/her respective Operational Area in the execution of these programs. Directly accountable to, develops strategies & directs support of Restaurant Marketing, Area Training / Talent and Recruiting Functions

Restaurant Marketing: Directs field MKT support to develop comprehensive sales driving strategies, ensures effective execution of the Restaurant MKT Program and actively participates and engages with market wide ACI activities. Drives awareness and makes recommendations [activity and spend] for improving restaurant performance to maximize sales while being smart in managing ROI of Marketing initiatives

Brand Marketing: Effectively executes Brand MKT campaigns and strategies and provides direct influence over market-wide spend / branding opportunities by representing a market expertise to maximize brand exposure opportunities and ROI for those investments

Financial Accountability: Maintains full responsibility for financial performance directly impacting area restaurant operations. Oversees the financial performance of his/her team. Accountable to all aspects of the restaurant EBITDAR – budget planning, management and performance

Financial Analysis: Analyzes business trends and financial data to assess and improve area performance, both operationally and financially

QUALIFICATIONS:

● High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred

● Minimum of 1 year of restaurant management with a proven record of success required in the fast food or casual dining industry

● Experience in an organization where he/she had specific career progression

● Knowledge of the QSR/Fast Casual industry as well as the necessary business acumen of running a restaurant

● Knowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of store

● Knowledge and skills in staffing with proven record of results

● Knowledge of Labor Laws

● Local store management experience preferred

● Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially POS, inventory management, and scheduling

● New Store Opening Experience

● Strong interest in technology and the “new restaurant paradigm”

● May be required to lift, carry, push or pull heavy objects up to fifty pounds; kneel, bend or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects

LIMITATIONS:

The DO/GM manages independent franchisee staff without oversight by the franchisor. All interactions between the franchisor and independent franchisee is an advisory capacity only where the franchisor may make recommendations, suggestions and provide feedback regarding the Daddy’s operating standards. Proper documentation must be maintained relative to compliance with standards, training of staff and analysis of results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
