The Human Resources Director leads the HR Business Partner function within the TravisMathew organization in the areas of team performance, employee engagement, talent development, employee relations, performance management and compensation. This individual partners with the VP of HR to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance and support the business. The HR Director strategically partners with senior leaders and employees to ensure TravisMathew HR programs are implemented and supported thoughtfully and in accordance with company policy. Additionally, this individual helps to create and foster a culture that recognizes outstanding achievement, enables individuals to reach their potential and ensures all employees are treated with respect and fairness in the performance of their responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide counsel to leadership and employees on various human resources matters including employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, policy interpretation, compensation and benefits
  • Partner with leadership to diagnose organizational design, development or training needs of the organization and make the most appropriate tool or resource available to meet the business needs in partnership with Learning and Development
  • Partner closely with leaders to structure and develop their respective teams to maximize performance and employee engagement
  • Coach Managers on talent and succession management and how to best to motivate and challenge all members of their teams, (from high performers to under performers) to ensure employee performance, engagement and accountability
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to build internal and external pipelines of high caliber, culturally diverse talent to meet the needs of the business with regards to succession and workforce planning
  • Partner with the Engagement team to execute and maintain DEI&B programs, communication strategies, and events that successfully impart the company’s Vision, Mission, Values
  • Lead and develop a best-in-class HR business partner team and ensure successful implementation of employee HR support and administration; this includes performance management, recruitment, compensation adjustments / merit process, benefit administration and mobility topics
  • Evaluate and diagnose org health through strong HR reporting and analytics
  • Partner with VP of HR to drive cultural change efforts in the organization through strategic HR initiatives

  • Strategically analyze data and examine issues while identifying themes and creating solutions

  • Skilled in overall business judgment with the ability to connect human resources with business goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management in multiple HR disciplines
  • Experience working in a vertically integrated retail environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
