Dirigo Federal Credit Union is a profitable and fast-growing community credit union headquartered in Lewiston, Maine. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Deposit Operations Manager in our Lewiston Office. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, career-minded professional with the vision, passion, and ability for exceeding the expectations of our member-owners. The Deposit Operations Manager directs eBranch and Deposit Operations activity to meet established goals for service, productivity, and quality of work. To ensure members and potential members receive fast, courteous, and accurate service through all digital channels. Ensures accurate and timely completion of all Deposit Operations functions. Directly responsible for development of performance metrics and related reporting involving eBranch activity and Deposit Operations functions. Contributor to the development of strategic initiatives and related departmental goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Directs daily operations of the eBranch and Deposit Operations and supervises employees; hire, train, coach, assign, develop, discipline, conducts performance appraisals and recommends salary adjustments and/or promotions.

2. Effectively plan, organize, direct, analyze, and evaluate staff and processes to solve business issues and to develop solution oriented recommendations.

3. Provide advice, counseling, and solutions through staff and directly to member inquiries.

4. Work with managers, staff, and other employees to meet members’ needs in a responsive, efficient manner across department/branches.

5. Responsible for all regulatory compliance within the eBranch and Deposit Operations.

6. Identifies and takes action to improve the department's operating methods and procedures, which will be documented by written policies and procedures.

7. Maintain accurate statistical records of department activity and relevant information through reporting.

8. Work collaboratively in the development of strategic initiatives and credit union goals.

9. Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

  • Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:
  • Two to Five years of similar or related experience.
  • Experience managing people.
  • Strong member service skills.
  • Knowledge of sales and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge and awareness of all Credit Union products and services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Experience managing vendors.
  • Interpersonal Skills- The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation(internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following Credit Union procedures.


Education Requirements: The following education/experience requirements are considered essential:

  • A two year college degree; or
  • Completion of a specialized course of study at a Business or trade school; or
  • Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
