The Upper Occoquan Service Authority is seeking a quality Systems Engineer to manage, maintain, protect, and improve the computerized systems and infrastructure which support the automation of the water treatment process at UOSA. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of Control Systems Engineers and Process Control Engineers within our Engineering & Technology Division. This role requires the candidate to have knowledge of installing and testing new software and hardware acquisitions, managing network architecture and network infrastructure for OT, DCS, and SCADA platforms and managing software licensing and hardware inventory.

Applicants should be able to have good working relationships with technical peers, management, trade staff, and operation staff. Being able to work well with all disciplines is key to the role.

REQUIREMENTS

· Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university; skill in computer networking and administration; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

· Requires the ability to manage project workloads and coordinate activities of outside contractors and UOSA personnel.

· Working knowledge and experience of TCP/IP networking and system administration experience in a MS-Windows environment, and network cabling and switches.

· Good writing and verbal communication skills are required.

· Must be able to meet physical requirements of position to include walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying 30 pounds. Must be able to participate in applicable work-safety programs.

· Possession of a vehicle operator's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.

· Preferred OT/SCADA Experience: ABB DCS, AVEVA System Platform/InTouch HMI, AVEVA PI, and Schneider Electric PLC hardware and programming software.

· Preferred IT/Systems Experience: Dell Servers, DellEMC VxRail, VMware vSphere, Check Point security gateways, Solarwinds Orion Platform, and Dell PowerProtect Data Manager.
