The North Carolina Metropolitan Special Police is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Company Police Officer. The position of Police Officer is for private police contracting.

Those who are currently working as Company Police Officers are encouraged to apply.

For those who are not, The North Carolina Metropolitan Special Police will consider employing individuals and compensating them while they attend the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. This position requires the candidate to possess professionalism, dedication, and good moral values.

All applicants MUST be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment investigation, physical, and drug screening. Applicants, who do not possess a BLET certificate will also be required to pass a psychological examination and polygraph examination.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 20 years of age
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess a valid North Carolina Motor Vehicle License
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Perform general law enforcement duties including patrolling, checking property, conducting room searches, maintaining order and public safety
• Issue traffic and parking citations, question and arrest suspects, collect and preserve evidence, conduct investigations
• Perform all other duties of a sworn police officer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
